Introductory note:

This article I have written is only a small endeavour to try to reflect and share a tiny fraction of my own knowledge, beliefs, humble opinions and experiences of life. It is not intended to try to reveal or impose any forms of "supreme truths" to answer the questions people have regarding life in general.

I share these thoughts, views, beliefs and feelings of mine, as a way to promote a debate and especially to inspire and encourage people to go explore in a quest for a never-ending search designed for the purpose as to achieve an enrichment and growth to enhance knowledge and spiritual developments. This as a way to provide sufficient wisdom for a sunlight of hope to emerge from the cloudiness and uncertainty of everyone's journey and odyssey in this life. Thus providing the indispensable spiritual and emotional tools to prevail over all adversities in life, tools such as wisdom, moral integrity and hope, that we require in order to improve ourselves, and the world.

Prologue:

This article is essentially focussed on discussing terrorism, its true roots and consequences, as well and very importantly, discussing the violations of Human Rights that happens every second of the day all over the world, especially when is caused by wars, among other issues.

For us to better struggle against these enormous problems, we need to understand the why's, to be aware of how the political, economical and cultural systems works. So, in this article we try to basically expose the most important themes. Besides the historical data that we present here to better understand the present, this article also has an very special emphasis on the Bush Administration, their PNAC plans and as well September 11th and its dramatic consequences. This is very important to study because by knowing more about these issues we will effectively really comprehend some, if not most of the events in the last 4 years, and, we will have the knowledge to know how it is possible to avoid the continuation and the escalation of these problems that affect us all…

However, before starting this article, it is important to correctly define the word Terrorism and Genocide, in order to better absorb, analyse and understand the information and historical events described and written here, and to really see things exactly for what they are… crimes against Humanity and the Environment.

The definition of Terrorism:

The definition of terrorism can be used to define how certain groups of individuals such as enterprises, organizations, agencies or governments, deliberately attack, destroy and kill civilian targets that do not have any type of military affiliation. Either if these events happens during an official war or not, is completely irrelevant.

More definitions taken from dictionaries:

• The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group (either religious, social, economical or political) against (civilian) people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological, economical or political reasons.
  
• The act of terrorizing, or state of being terrorized; a mode of government by terror or intimidation.

The definition of Genocide:

Genocide means any of the following systematic and planned acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, such as:

• 1- Killing members of the group;
• 2- Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
• 3- Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
• 4- Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
• 5- Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

The roots of Terrorism:

Terrorism has been known to the world practically since Humanity went trough it's first stages of evolution, began to colonize the planet, and inevitably started to battle with each other, most especially with other groups/communities/countries, for vital and strategic territorial areas and/or valuable resources. This is particularly true when it concerns dictatorial regimes and most especially dramatic events such as wars. Usually, who suffers the most in wars are predominantly civilians, innocent people, entire populations who do not have any aspirations whatsoever for wars and who just wish to live peacefully, within their community and with other peoples and countries.

Currently it is estimated that in today's wars at least 80% to 95% of the deaths are civilian casualties, and for those numbers, at least 30% is composed of young children/teenagers. As a general rule, who has the power to generate wars are almost exclusively countries governments, or very powerful people that somahow are directly or indirectly connecded with those governments/regimes. However, if the population of such country had the chance to decide in a referendum, if they would want their country to go to war or not, then the answer for such horrifying question would generally always be an absolute refusal. The wicked individuals who desire and strife for wars are the ones which hearts and soul are filled with extreme selfishness and pure hatred. Individuals who always have something to gain from its dreadful consequences, no matter if money, power or if simply fighting for erroneous ideological factors, which they accomplish from the pain, destruction and deaths of other people or even entire civilizations. Hitler and Stalin, were the worst examples during the 20th century, having managed to kill around 150.000.000 (150 million) people, especially in Europe and in the USSR.

Generally these individuals are always people placed in very high places, as being a part of governments, political party's and enterprises presidents/directors/shareholders, especially the ones that make business with the military armament and oil industries, who gain much more profits when there are wars being fought, and people being slaughtered. These are the ones who have all the profits that "victories in wars" can bring, and these are the ones to be blamed for the humanitarian massacres and material/economical destruction of the attacked countries or cultures. The latest example of this is especially positioned in Iraq, but as well it is known that all wars works within these ways, trough the influence of powerful people with no regard what so ever for Human Rights, for the feelings and needs of other people, or for the protection and conservation of Nature.

Since the start of the 20ºth century, especially after WW2, that the terrorist activities as we know them, have been increasing dramatically and in a notorious way. Unfortunately it has been increasing even further in the start of the new 21ºth century.

Most of the primary roots and reasons for these problems are to be found in such historical and present examples, as:

- The worldwide genocides/holocausts and cultural destruction: that were perpetrated during 500 years of "discoveries", which given origin to inhumane acts of onslaught, exploitations and tyrannical colonization's. Even with current historical data from those past times, it is impossible to know the full shocking consequences that took place to those native populations during all these centuries, the suffering caused and what Humanity as lost in terms of cultural knowledge and biological diversity. These very sensitive issues have raised much hatred during centuries until present days. These past events during the "discoveries" were essentially perpetrated by such countries as England, France, Spain and Portugal. It is estimated that in the American continent alone, many dozen of Native American nations have been completely wiped out, and that during 500 years, a minimum of 100.000.000 (100 million) Native Americans were massacred by Europeans. - The pitiable and extremely neglectful and tyrannical administration of the colonies: that some European countries had during centuries until recently, close to the end of the 20ºth century, and which completely disrupted in all possible levels, the ways of life of the native people that lived (and still lives) in the colonies, either in a social, cultural, democratic, egalitarian and economical level. The last cabal example of such consequences was positioned in South Africa during the Apartheid. (See www.infonature.org for more info on South Africa).

- The two World Wars in the 20ºth century: and consequently disruption of all African borders, who had been divided when literally drawn in a paper map by a certain number of uneducated people in Europe and America (politicians), which were only protecting their own selfish interests and that were not concerned about the terrible costs of dividing and affecting the local populations. Within time this provoked great consequences such as hatred, and wars between tribes or countries. In Asia and Middle East, there were also a few similar situations and respective dreadful consequences.

- Key factors as Racism and Religion: which even more have broken down the ties among the different religions and races around the world, especially between the Christian, Jewish and Muslim communities. Unfortunately there are great numbers of people that possess hearts filled with hatred and incomprehension, which as well call themselves religious, but in a fundamentalist way, and somehow are astonishing incredibly misinformed about other people and their respective cultures. These people can possess such an erroneous knowledge of things in general, and be so assured that what they know and believe is the "supreme truth", that they can reach to a certain level of emotional and intellectual immaturity and deprivation, and they tend to see others as inferior people which consequently start to be very racist toward other religions and/or races, and which will not be tolerant and respect the beliefs of other people, while being prepared to fight to destroy them or their beliefs. Those people are fundamentalists with erroneous beliefs and selfish interests. These factors have been with Humanity since the dawn of time, but have increased in the last centuries, being the crusades to the Holy Land, the "discoveries", the fight between religions… just a few examples. In actual days, the worst illustration of such, are the struggle that some Muslim "leaders" have declared against the west, in a war also known as "Jihad" (holy war), and the determination of most fundamentalist Christian from the Bush Administration who are racists and do not approve Islam, to directly attack Muslim countries (as Afghanistan and Iraq), so they can try to restrain and suppress the Muslim religion, furthermore to protect Israel and its interests.

- The Cold War conflict (also known as the "3º World War") during almost 50 years: which caused many dozens of wars all over the world in the 2º and 3º world countries, during almost 5 decades. These numerous conflicts and wars were constantly stimulated by the USA (using extreme right-wing ideologies) and the USSR (using extreme left-wing ideologies), in order to try to shift and control the economical, political and ideological influences between the two superpowers in foreign governments, countries and their cultures… we can say that it was a constant battle between two asymmetric ideologies, communism (USSR) and fascism (USA). Many were the countries that were almost completely destroyed due to the conflicts and wars of decades sponsored by these two superpowers. Countries such as Angola, Afghanistan, Cuba, Vietnam, and almost half of the poorest countries in the world, which in some levels still had great natural resources, among the political, economical and military advantages… thus calling the attention of the two superpowers in order to have power over it and increase its global influence. It was basically, a war of interests, of opposite ideologies.

- The constant interferences and manipulations of political regimes: in other countries around the world (most especially in 2º and 3º world countries) that the USA made during the Cold War, and still makes in present time, which most of the times brought extreme instability and normally finished in civil wars or wars between two countries. Afghanistan and Iraq are the two latest examples, were it is confirmed at least the murder of more than 25.000 innocent civilian people (numbers of Non-Governmental Organizations and some media), and possibly reaching numbers to 50.000 civilians. All of this suffering, destruction and deaths in the name of a so-called "war against terrorism", when in fact are wars to defend selfish interests, the PNAC plans. No matter what some wicked individuals say to try to blind people to the reality, these wars have not increased global security, democracy or peace toward our planet, but have only raised much more the levels of hatred, thus the levels of terrorism upon the world. In the last years former CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) agents have come to public and having evidences from official documents, have stated that due to the CIA interference on other countries, that they have purposely caused wars in foreign lands, and which after decades of CIA black-ops (black-operations), there are estimations on the death of more than 6.000.000 (6 million) civilians on those wars. - The extremely unfair global economical system: which develops a greater breach in the difference between rich and poor countries. With this type of economical system, the richest countries are always able to constantly control and increase their national wealth, at the obvious expenses and suffering of the poor countries and their people. In the last decades, the border between poor and rich countries (and people) has augmented severely due to the many levels of unbalanced and unfair opportunities. The current global economical system is controlled by the World Trade Organization (WTO), the US, Europe, Japan, China, and is extremely unfair for the poorest countries in Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia. Since many decades that the richest countries always stated that they would do what is possible to help increase the wealth of the poorest countries, but reality is that the richest countries get much richer at the expenses and exploitation of the poorest countries, which obviously, become even poorer. Several statistics from the UN and other organizations, indicated that in the start of the 20th century, the difference between the rich countries and the poor ones, were of about 10 times their GNP (Gross National Product), and in the end of the century, the difference increased up to 80 times. An overwhelming difference of complete injustice and inequality.

- The Israeli-Palestinian conflict: which since the creation of the Israeli state in 1948, and having more than 50 years of age, which during that time has caused much worldwide instability, and the birth of many terrorist groups. Israel was unfairly created by strength on Palestinian territories, and the Palestinian people living in those areas were coerced and forced to massively move and seek refugee in other parts of the Palestinian territory that were still partially controlled by then, many lived (and live) for decades in refugee camps with awful conditions. Along the years these events caused some major humanitarian, cultural and economical problems for the Palestinians, since Israel (politically, economically and militarily supported by the US), going against all United Nations resolutions, have always committed extensive and ruthless Human Rights violations which includes terrorist activities against the Palestinians to force them obeisance and to accept the unfair conditions impose on them. In some ways, we can say that what Israel have been doing to the Palestinians, is similar to what the Nazi regime did to the Jews. Amazing is, that the Jewish people have learned nothing from the Holocaust. These are the main reasons which made some Palestinians groups and other terrorist organizations around the world, to use terrorism against Israel, as Palestine does not has any military power, and terrorism was the only "viable tactical war weapon" they thought they could employ to achieve sovereignty. It is extremely complicated to explain the entire why's in this article, since history and the active factors are too extensive, but these examples can give you a very good glimpse on the deep roots of the birth for the majority of the terrorist actions. However, if we wish to effectively fight terrorism at a long term, then we need to go to the root of the problem. Fighting terrorism using terrorist tactics, such as the so-called "pre-emptive" wars, that are completely unfounded, based on forged evidences to justify them (as in the Iraqi case), are extremely dangerous, and will not solve the problem(s) but only increase it to higher levels of fanaticism and extremism, as desperation and dissatisfaction between the poorest and the innocents grows to alarming levels.

Terrorism is inherent with the word War, there are no wars without terror, there are no wars without the deaths of dozen of thousands of innocent people, and the anguish and misery of many millions more… so when someone promotes wars, they also directly and consciently promote Human Rights abuses in large scales, thus promoting terrorism, and lately the Bush Administration has been by far the worst example of such.

Wars are always born and prepared based on hatred, with wrong evaluations and misinterpretation of the situations. You have to acknowledge that you cannot fight fire with fire, it is a known factor that trying to put out fire with fire, will only increase the same fire we wish to exterminate. Fire can only be efficiently fought with water. We can easily identify the word Fire as meaning Wars, and the word Water as meaning Peace, the rest of the logical conclusion is easy to make.

Hypocrisy in Human Rights issues - Crying for a few causalities, but forgetting many others:

The terrorist attacks that have been happening in the last years in 1º world countries, such as in the US, the UK, France, Italy, Israel, Spain, Indonesia, Russia, and other countries, are more than regrettable and tragic, but nonetheless there is also another very important issue that needs to be discussed, and that I lay in here: Why do most of the international media and people of 1º world countries only look to the victims of terrorism in the developed countries and not to the ones murdered in 2º and especially in 3º world countries? Are not those people who also feel and suffer from the most diverse ways, and that die by the thousands every day, are they not also humans? Don't they deserve to have the same rights, dignity and respect as us? Don't they have feelings, needs and family, in the same way as we have? Is a citizen from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Somalia or Iraq, somehow less human than an US citizen?

It is possible to see almost everyday on the news, the close relationship that the American people have with their soldiers that are abroad and fighting the wars that their US government have assembled to defend American interests. What shocks me the most is that most Americans will mourn when one American soldier is killed by people who are merely defending their country, their culture, their family and themselves, which is something they have the right to do. Legally it is called self-defence. Yet, at the same time those same Americans who weep for one human life, they are unable to see or just enter into a "denial state" and refuse to see the dozen or hundred civilians that have died at the same time by the American bombs or bullets (lately in Iraq and Afghanistan for example). This may happen for several motives: The manipulation of the corporate media that only shows one side of the story and tries to manipulate people opinions; the denial state that the people from the oppressing country have in order to deny to see the truth, and the human and material consequences so they can assume they can "morally" continue to support something that morally is impossible to be supported…

It may be amazing for someone to admit, but for many people it is acceptable to kill dozen or thousands of people in 3º world countries, in order to just save one American or European life. For many, they do believe in the saying "The end justifies the means"… which is something that dictators like Julius Cesar, Napoleon, Stalin and Hitler deeply believe in, and fully enforced it, with devastating effects.

Seeing other people and cultures as inferior is one of the reasons that causes people to have the opinion described above, and this is one form of racism that can bring dramatic consequences. As usual, many times racism can create severe wrong information assumptions and consequences about the different cultures and religions. Many are the people, which due to some personal/interpersonal problems and frustrations, try to find an "escape goat" and allow hate and racism to grow in their souls. Many times the "escape goats" are found in other cultures and religions, into the "something" that is different and hard to understand, which happens especially when it is relative to the issue of terrorism. After September 11 in the US, many were the Americans who created extreme offensive and foolish stereotypes and started to blame and consequently hate the Muslim religion and practically all Arabs, thus having given their support for wars and human rights violations in Arabic/Muslim countries, even many times stating the following: "A good Arab, is a dead one"; "They killed 3 thousand in our country, now we will kill all of them in their countries"; "I don't care if I kill unharmed civilians with my M16, they all deserve to die for what they did in New York" (US marine in Iraq). Many millions of innocent people have suffered due to this dramatically risen level of mental stupidity, lack of common sense, hatred and racism. When a terrorist attack happens in a 1º World country, normally the average number of deaths can go from 1 person, until 100 people. This is a tragedy yes, and we should mourn for the deaths of those people and respect them and their families. But, what people don't realise is that while many mourn for a few dozen people who were killed in developed countries, they wont seem to wish to remember and mourn for the millions that for several reasons die in poor countries. In Rwanda in 1994 for example, in just one or two weeks, close to 1.000.000 (1 million) people (all civilians) were slaughtered in a horrendous, atrocious ethical genocide. However the international community and the UN, which were involved in an immense inertia, did not raised and stated their voices and claims high enough, and also have not done enough to stop this genocide and to avoid more ethnical massacres. This can be interpreted in two ways, either "lack" of knowledge, which is extremely implausible, or total hypocrisy and lack of interest. The international community did not had any particular interest in that country, so they were very slow into lelping avoid the genocide. We can take the more specific example of Ethiopia. There are much more deaths in Ethiopia in a single day, than in the US in a whole week or even in a whole month. And while the population of the US is around the 300 million people, in Ethiopia is so much more reduced, about a few million. People in that African country mostly die by two ways, or trough famine or military actions of mass torture/killing. And even so, very few people worry about the state of Human Rights violations in such poor countries. The news media also do not do enough to help those people by alerting the international community. Actually, the news media only prefer to show those news they think will origin more publicity money, and that will not damage the reputation and business of those people that directly or indirectly own the news media networks, or their friends. Unfortunately independent media is hard to find, and the media in the US is one of the most corporate and biased of the 1º World countries, which means they are much less independent (for more info see: http://www.amnesty.org + http://www.hrw.org + http://www.transparency.org).

In Africa for example, at least a few million of people die every year due to hunger and lack of cheap medications. This happens not because the people there don't have the right knowledge and resources to be able to take care of themselves, but because of the extreme greedy policies of many governments and enterprises. Many are the governments (example of North Korea), institutions (example of the WTO - World Trade Organization) and Enterprises (example of Monsanto which performs genetic manipulation) that prefer to allow the people of 2º and 3º world countries to starve to death than allowing them to have the means and resources to be able to save themselves from famine and diseases. Politicians don't wish to loose power while enterprises don't want to loose any profits whatsoever, even if it means to directly or indirectly murder people. So they use famine as a social, political and economical weapon… a weapon of mass genocide created to protect their own interests at the cost of the deaths of millions of people worldwide. We cannot allow ourselves to cry only for those that are "nearby" us, or for those that die in a almost "live" footage as demonstrated by the TV networks, because it is obvious that when someone sees the images, we can be much more aware of their suffering and consequently it can affect us so much more. But unfortunately, by far the worst is what we don't see and don't know. The fact is that there are much worst things happening everyday, at every second that passes by, people being killed in all possible ways, either by torture, gun shots, bombs, diseases, cold, hunger, and many other ways… and almost no one understands and cares about this, and much less desires to know. We usually say: "Out of sight, out of the heart". But closing our eyes and ignoring does not means the problems will disappear, because they wont, in fact it will only help to dramatically increase them in higher levels of inhumanity. Let us not be blind and selfish, let us not close our eyes to what happens in the world, and let us attempt to change what is wrong.

Only in Afghanistan and Iraq, there was the combined death of more than 25.000 (numbers from NGO's and news media) innocent civilians of all ages and gender (without counting soldiers) that were killed by the US Army, and these are official statistics. In reality, it is estimated that the number of civilian's causalities are much higher, because the majority of the deaths happen far away from the lenses of the cameras, and from the eyewitness of humanitarian and institutional organizations, such as the UN and the Red Cross. Governmental Terrorism:

We all know that there are many monsters controlling dictatorial regimes and creating many problems. But now-a-days, and after the news of the last years, wars and constant human rights violations promoted by the US, it is more than achievable and acceptable to say that, currently, the biggest and most dangerous "non-official terrorist(s)" by constantly violating the Human Rights charter and democratic laws, is G.W. Bush, complemented with the entire Bush Administration, also known as the extreme right-wing "Hawks", and including such individuals as: Paul Wolfowitz; G.H. Bush; G.W. Bush; Jeb Bush; Richard Perle; Dick Cheney; Donald Rumsfeld; Ashcroft, who controls the justice system of the US; Ariel Sharon, Israeli prime minister and a war criminal; and many others (more info at http://www.disinfopedia.org/wiki.phtml?title=PNAC#Personnel).

I prefer to simply say "Bush Administration", because calling G.W. Bush president and/or calling his staff an "elected government", would be absolutely incorrect, since they have not won the elections trough the popular vote when Bush lost in Florida by several thousands of votes, but only trough the use of an anti-democratic measure via the US Supreme Court of Justice, which is controlled by the Republicans, and that has no authority whatsoever into electing anyone into any type of political position.

And so, why do I become so bold to openly state that Bush and his staff are basically terrorists? The answer is easy: Using phoney and deceitful justifications to trick Americans and the world, they have achieved to reach the presidency and have promoted wars worldwide for their own personal political and economical gain, thus promoting many Human Rights violations, thus promoting hatred and terrorism. These wicked people have hidden agendas, secret goals, interests and many gains, which they can achieve with the wars that they formulate. As we have many times witness in the news, and that has now been widely proven in so many levels, they constantly try to use false and weak arguments to try to justify their constant attacks on Human Rights that can occur everywhere in the world (for more info on the forged evidences of WMD in Iraq, see http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article6423.htm). Upon the public opinion, they try to portrait themselves as "the saviours", as someone who will save entire populations and even the whole world, from certain powerful menaces that they themselves covertly promote. For several times Bush, who is a fundamentalist Christian, has publicly stated that he directly talks to God, that God replies, and that God told him to "save the planet" and to attack Iraq (check www.infonature.org). However, and as easy it is to see, these are just an agglomerate of cover up speeches and blunt lies, "simple" statements made to try to brainwash our own minds so we are unable to see the facts and the truth behind their true intentions. These individuals cannot be trusted at all, they are neurotic liars, since their primary main weapons are deception and manipulation of information (misinformation), because they know that only using such covert tactics and doing Black-Ops they can gain enough political, social and economical support to be able to move forward with their objectives. While the citizens continue to remain ignorant and obscured to these situations, these governments (regimes) will have the freedom to do what ever they wish to do, and directly or indirectly with "our blessing".

Bush and many of his followers, have an extreme right-wing ideology and are as well fundamentalist Christians… Before the war in Iraq started in 2003, Bush received a representative from the Vatican, and when he tried to justify his belligerent and irrational actions to the Pope representative, he stated and I quote: "I was enlightened by God, and he given me the mission of saving the world". Later on, when a journalist asked him if he had talked to GH Bush (his father) for opinions about if he should invade Iraq, Bush stated the following: "I asked a higher father (God) if we should invade Iraq, and he told me yes.". These incredibly bizarre and delusional statements made by G.W. Bush, clearly demonstrates the type of mentality he has and of how much of a delusional state Bush lives in. This clearly shows that Bush thinks, or wants people to think, that he is some sort of a "divine and prophet saviour" sent by God. People like these always have some sort of a strong megalomaniac mental illness and are consequently dangerous to themselves, and especially to all the others around. About September 11th, it has been more than proven by several independent investigations and many dozens of witness on key places, that the Bush Administration knew that 9/11 was about to happen, since they were warned many times by several governments and secret agencies, from such countries as the Philippines, Germany, and even Saudi Arabia. Also trough an investigation from the BBC, it was proven that the CIA was already in the Philippines spying some of the leaders of the attacks and some of the terrorists that later seem to have perpetrated the attacks of 9/11, and they could have been easily arrested, but they have not done such because the US agents received specific orders from their superiors in the CIA, which got orders from Bush, to not interfere with the evolution of the plans of the terrorists under watch. Inside the US, the FBI also knew the location of some of the terrorists that participated in the September 11, like the some that piloted the planes, but also those agents received the same orders from Bush to not interfere and basically to allow them to do what they wished in US soil. The US government, media and American citizens blamed the Spanish authorities for a sabotage, thus giving them the excuse to start a war with the intention of "confiscating" the Spanish colonies in the American continent, Caribbean's and other parts of the Pacific Ocean such as the Philippines. Some time later after these events, much after the war ended and Spain has lost it's colonies, the "official" explanation for this incident was that it was a simple accident and proved the Spanish were innocent. - The Nazi Regime - The burning of the Reichstag (German Parliament) in Berlin: Adolph Hitler, the leader of the extreme right-wing Nazi party, covertly gives the order to destroy the Reichstag building with a fire. Then, by providing forged evidences his party blamed the communists for it. This event was the catalysing event that given the Nazis a political power without precedents, installed a dictatorial regime by making Hitler a dictator with unlimited power, and allowed the Nazi doctrine to be performed, with the inevitable decimation of the communists, gypsies, Jews and other minorities that were so called "impure" races in Germany. - Cuba - The Bay of Pigs: The US government and military planned an invasion of Cuba to end the regime of Fidel Castro, by using renegade Cubans as paramilitary soldiers, and to try to cover up the US involvement and avoid any fatalities on US soldiers. Of course we all know the failure it was when the plans were discovered and the covert operation was a total failure.

- The Northwood's plan - US politicians and military planned to use terrorist actions against US citizens: In the 60's and 70's, the US government and military wrote a draft (in 1962) were they planned on creating and using terrorist attacks against American citizens inside and outside the US, and as well inside several cities in the US. Such attacks included assassinations, many bomb attacks in crowded shops for example, civilian plane hijacks and/or using them to destroy buildings (actions similar to the ones of 9/11), along other horrific plans. - Israel and the 6 days war - Conspiracy plans between Israel and the USA almost created a Nuclear War: 1967, while in war with Egypt during 6 days, Israel deliberately attacks the "USS Liberty" (an US military ship), killing at least 34 people and injuring many dozens more. This event was prepared as a way to make it seem the ship was attacked by Egyptian forces. Almost inevitably and during the first hours, the US government blamed the Egyptians, and given orders to arm two US Fighters with nuclear missiles, with orders to attack Cairo, the Egyptian capital, to destroy it completely and directly killing a few million people. This event would also give the US enough arguments to join Israel as an active military ally against Egypt and the USSR, and probably would cause an escalation on a global nuclear war. However and thankfully, for some reason this action was stopped by the last minute by orders of the US military, and a Nuclear War was stopped on time. - Vietnam, the deception in the Tolkin Gulf: The US Navy staged an attack on one of their own warships using a covert black-op, latter stating that it was an attack made by several small sized Vietnamese boats, which given the US the justification to declare war with north Vietnam. In the Vietnam war about 60.000 US soldiers were killed, and in the Vietnamese side, there was the death of 1 million (1.000.000) soldiers, and the murder and extermination of 2 million (2.000.000) civilians, most of them were murdered by special US marine teams (also known as death squads) aimed to exterminate whole villages, in a secret project called "Operation Phoenix" (see http://www.serendipity.li/cia/operation_phoenix.htm). - The assassination of John F. Kennedy: Still today we don't know for sure what happen in those days, who did it, and why. However there are more and more undeniable and strong evidences that actually Oswald was not the true killer, and that in fact there were several shooters on the place JFK was killed, such facts have been proved. Independent investigations from several sources indicate that most likely, several groups of individuals with very strong interests, were behind the assassination plot, and that Oswald was a mere "escape goat". During the time Kennedy was in the White House, he started to make enemies in several sectors, powerful individuals that did not agreed with Kennedy vision on the war on Vietnam and Cuba, and even elements connect to the FBI and the American/Cuban Mafia, organized crime that Kennedy was trying to destroy. - Vladimir Putin - A Dictator and war criminal using terrorist activities against Russians and Chechens: Around the year 1999 and 2000, there were several terrorist attacks in Russia. Some were devastating and it involved the total destruction of a few civilian buildings with more than 6 floors. It is estimated that around 350 people have died in those terrorist attacks. Then Vladimir Putin, at the time chief of the FSB (ex KGB), vehemently blamed some Chechen terrorist groups providing what was later found as forged evidences fabricated by the FSB, and vowed to avenge the Russians killed by those groups. This event gave Putin the political support of the Russians to become the new President of Russia, and as well the military support to invade Chechnya, to have a "licence" to secretly commit genocide and exterminate more than 80.000 thousand Chechen civilians, most of which were Muslims. Few years later it was proved by several important witness and independent investigations (in Odyssey / Odisseia Channel) that in reality, who planted the explosives in the buildings and killed around 350 people, were the Russian secret services FSB, whose chief is Vladimir Putin. When Bush is close to the media, he constantly tries to remember and to use the events and images of 9/11 to continuously incite feelings of fear and vengeance, to brainwash and persuade the American people and other countries into using their war weapons (and terrorist tactics) against allegedly enemies of democracy. An ironic factor about this usage of the 9/11 events, is that most of the victims families of 9/11 are completely against the type of rhetorical speech that Bush constantly says on the media, and the use of deadly force against nations and people who had nothing to do with 9/11. Bush falsely claims that the terrorist attacks of 9-11 were the biggest to date, the most terrible in history, but this is a complete lie and manipulation of the truth and historical facts, that he wishes to use for his own advantage and the advantage of the PNAC plans.

The truth is that the biggest terrorist attacks in history were realized in the end of 2º W.W., by the United States themselves, when they dropped two nuclear warheads into two civilian cities in Japan, Nagasaki and Hiroshima, directly killing in few seconds around 300.000 thousand people and indirectly killing more than a million along the decades, people who have suffered and died due to the radiation effects that lasts for generations. All of these people were innocent civilians. An horrendous genocide accomplishment that completely goes against the Geneva Convention on Human Rights and every type of war conduct on attacking what is called "valid targets", which only includes military targets. The US government and military in 1945, affirmed that this action was necessary because it would avoid an unnecessary bloodshed of many dozen of thousands of US soldiers, they presented numbers of about 200 thousand soldiers. However this is completely false and can even be considered as a sick joke, since Japan already had no navy, no air force, and the remaining army was seriously debilitated. The truth was that the US dropped the bombs as a way to actively test them on real cities with real people, and as a statement of strength to demonstrate the military, scientific and political power of the US, officially making the US a new world power since that day, and sending a strong powerful message to the USSR and China. While in Japan more than 1 million (1.000.000) people died due to the two A-Bombs that obliterated two cities, in 9/11 the number of deaths were "merely" around 3 thousand (3.000), and still it is being used to justify the impossible to be justified, the assassination of dozens of thousands of civilians worldwide (more than 25.000 in Afghanistan and Iraq), with the direct and indirect approval of the Bush Administration.

Wars and genocides - The weapons and terror tactics:

As having the latest example of Iraq, we can talk about the use of a W.M.D., a chemical and radioactive weapon, which is called Depleted Uranium, and in reality was never used by Saddam, but by the US Army, which shows well how hypocritical they can be. DU was first used by the US Army in the invasion of Panama to capture General Noriega, invasion which in few days caused the death of more than 4.000 civilians killed by US marines (TV Documentary http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article4078.htm), then in Iraq "Desert Storm" in the year 1991, in the ex-Yugoslavia during the 90's, in Afghanistan in 2001 and again in Iraq in 2003.

DU is a powerful weapon that implies the effortless destruction of tanks and all other enemy armour. Normally the bullets of DU were used by the "A10 Warthog" aircrafts and in the "AH-64 Apache" gunship helicopters, these vehicles are also known by the nickname of "Tank Busters". For the US military the DU was a "blessing", as it is a powerful weapon to destroy all type of armoured vehicles, since DU can cross armour like a hot knife on butter. Besides the excellent weapon properties, using DU as a weapon was as well an excellent opportunity to transform and eliminate the nuclear waste produced in the US, by "extradite" it by force and allowing it to de dropped in other countries without their authorization.

Unfortunately, for the Iraqi civilians and even for many US and UK soldiers, the extensive use of Depleted Uranium in Iraq (and as well Bosnia) proved along the years to be extremely deadly. When the DU bullets impact with a determinate target, it will transform itself into a chemical and radioactive dust that will contaminate the soil, air and water. When that hazardous radioactive dust is somehow inhaled or ingested by living beings, the radioactive DU particles will "slowly" corrupt and destroy the whole DNA chain code of that living creature, thus creating very awful deformations on babies (born or unborn ones), and critically damaging the health system of adults… most people who have inhaled DU particles will almost surely die after a quantity of time of excruciating pain. It is estimated that since 1991 until today, hundreds of thousand of people have died or have their health critically damaged, estimations from non-governmental organizations indicate a number much superior to 500.000 people (500 thousand) until the year 2000. A great percentage of those innocent victims are babies. The US government and military knew about the potential risks of using DU as a war weapon, but nevertheless they couldn't care less and still used it on several war theatres such as Iraq and ex-Yugoslavia. Even many of the US and UK soldiers were severely affected by the use of DU (estimations can go up to 40% - 60% on some squads), but when those same soldiers were seeking the economical and health care help of their own governments, they purely received lies about the origin of the illness saying it was caused by some non-war factors, and they got a denial on a grant for "free" treatment at all (seek more info at the association of the US Gulf War Veterans). Since 1991 the cancer rates have risen more than 800% times in Iraq, and around 400% times in Yugoslavia, which implies a great number of very ill people and deaths. In the final observation, Depleted Uranium is to be considered a "Weapon of Mass Killing". Unfortunately, these statistics and death rates will live on for thousand of years, since the half-life of the DU radiation is more than 4 billion years, which implies a never-ending genocide. Also, I would like to state and emphasize the economical embargo imposed by the US (which used the UN) after 1991, against the Iraqi people and Saddam. This embargo was supposed to only be against military material such as weapons, but unfortunately and unthinkingly it also included all type of food and medications. This lasted for quite a few years, and due to that, due to this unfair and revolting embargo, it is estimated that more than 500.000 (5 hundred thousand - NGO's statistics) innocent people have died of famine and lack of medical care. The international community and especially the US knew this was happening, but let this situation to be as it was, to see if the regime of Saddam would capitulate on its own with a civil war, but it did not, in fact it only made them stronger. In the end the only affected people were the Iraqi population who suffered immensely. This is another example of genocide, with the consent of the international community, because the economical and political interests of others and especially of the United States, speak much louder. USA as a Rogue State:

1. - In December 2001, the United States officially withdrew from the 1972 Antiballistic Missile Treaty, gutting the landmark agreement-the first time in the nuclear era that the US renounced a major arms control accord.

2. - 1972 Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention ratified by 144 nations including the United States. In July 2001 the US walked out of a London conference to discuss a 1994 protocol designed to strengthen the Convention by providing for on-site inspections. At Geneva in November 2001, US Undersecretary of State John Bolton stated that "the protocol is dead," at the same time accusing Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Libya, Sudan, and Syria of violating the Convention but offering no specific allegations or supporting evidence.

3. - UN Agreement to Curb the International Flow of Illicit Small Arms, July 2001: the US was the only nation to oppose it.

4. - April 2001, the US was not re-elected to the UN Human Rights Commission, after years of withholding dues to the UN (including current dues of $244 million)-and after having forced the UN to lower its share of the UN budget from 25 to 22 percent. (In the Human Rights Commission, the US stood virtually alone in opposing resolutions supporting lower-cost access to HIV/AIDS drugs, acknowledging a basic human right to adequate food, and calling for a moratorium on the death penalty.)

5. - International Criminal Court (ICC) Treaty, to be set up in The Hague to try political leaders and military personnel charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity. - Signed in Rome in July 1998, the Treaty was approved by 120 countries, with 7 opposed (including the US). In October 2001 Great Britain became the 42nd nation to sign. In December 2001 the US Senate again added an amendment to a military appropriations bill that would keep US military personnel from obeying the jurisdiction of the proposed ICC.

6. - Land Mine Treaty, banning land mines; signed in Ottawa in December 1997 by 122 nations. The United States refused to sign, along with Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, Egypt, and Turkey. President Clinton rejected the Treaty, claiming that mines were needed to protect South Korea against North Korea's "overwhelming military advantage." He stated that the US would "eventually" comply, in 2006; this was disavowed by President Bush in August 2001.

7. - Kyoto Protocol of 1997, for controlling global warming: declared "dead" by President Bush in March 2001. In November 2001, the Bush administration shunned negotiations in Marrakech (Morocco) to revise the accord, mainly by watering it down in a vain attempt to gain US approval.

8. - In May 2001, refused to meet with European Union nations to discuss, even at lower levels of government, economic espionage and electronic surveillance of phone calls, e-mail, and faxes (the US "Echelon" program spied the European Union and stolen many political and economical secrets).

9. - Refused to participate in Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)-sponsored talks in Paris, May 2001, on ways to crack down on off-shore and other tax and money-laundering havens.

10. - Refused to join 123 nations pledged to ban the use and production of anti-personnel bombs and mines, February 2001.

11. - September 2001: withdrew from International Conference on Racism, bringing together 163 countries in Durban, South Africa.

12. - International Plan for Cleaner Energy: G-8 group of industrial nations (US, Canada, Japan, Russia, Germany, France, Italy, UK), July 2001: the US was the only one to oppose it.

13. - Enforcing an illegal boycott of Cuba, now being made tighter. In the UN in October 2001, the General Assembly passed a resolution, for the tenth consecutive year, calling for an end to the US embargo, by a vote of 167 to 3 (the US, Israel, and the Marshall Islands in opposition).

14. - Comprehensive [Nuclear] Test Ban Treaty. Signed by 164 nations and ratified by 89 including France, Great Britain, and Russia; signed by President Clinton in 1996 but rejected by the Senate in 1999. The US is one of 13 non-rectifiers among countries that have nuclear weapons or nuclear power programs. In November 2001, the US forced a vote in the UN Committee on Disarmament and Security to demonstrate its opposition to the Test Ban Treaty.

15. - In 1986 the International Court of Justice (The Hague) ruled that the US was in violation of international law for "unlawful use of force" in Nicaragua, through its actions and those of its Contra proxy army. The US refused to recognize the Court's jurisdiction. A UN resolution calling for compliance with the Court's decision was approved 94-2 (US and Israel voting no).

16. - In 1984 the US quit UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and ceased its payments for UNESCO's budget, over the New World Information and Communication Order (NWICO) project designed to lessen world media dependence on the "big four" wire agencies (AP, UPI, Agence France-Presse, Reuters). The US charged UNESCO with "curtailment of press freedom," as well as mismanagement and other faults, despite a 148-1 in vote in favor of NWICO in the UN. UNESCO terminated NWICO in 1989; the US nonetheless refused to rejoin. In 1995 the Clinton administration proposed rejoining; the move was blocked in Congress and Clinton did not press the issue. In February 2000 the US finally paid some of its arrears to the UN but excluded UNESCO, which the US has not rejoined.

17. - Optional Protocol, 1989, to the UN's International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, aimed at abolition of the death penalty and containing a provision banning the execution of those under 18. The US has neither signed nor ratified and specifically exempts itself from the latter provision, making it one of five countries that still execute juveniles (with Saudi Arabia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Nigeria). China abolished the practice in 1997, Pakistan in 2000.

PNAC, the early stages - Paul Wolfowitz and the "Wolfowitz Doctrine":

Paul Wolfowitz is currently the 2º in command in the Pentagon, and is without a doubt one of the most dangerous men in the entire neocon group. During the last decades he has worked very closely with older ancient Republican administrations (like the G.H. Bush Administration, 1988 to 1992), and occupied very important places in previous US governments. Wolfowitz, on its own immoral way is a very intelligent person, and he knows very well what he desires to do with the internal and external policy of the United States.

After the partial failure of the "Desert Storm" war against Saddam (1991), as Bush senior has ordered the US Army to stop their advance toward Baghdad to capture Saddam and replace the regime, because he was afraid that some Islamic government would replace Saddam. Wolfowitz became angry at this attitude and about one year later in 1992, he started to write his views on what he considers to be the "right" political and military strategies for the US in the new incoming century (thus later to be called "Project for a New American Century). While writing that document, he re-planned a new invasion of Iraq (which happen in 2003) and many other military and political strategies. Those documents would then be known as the "Wolfowitz Doctrine", which later in the end of the 90's (from 1998 until 2000), would be known as the PNAC documents, or "Project for a New American Century". Presently it is also called as the "Bush doctrine". Besides, this doctrine was impossible to be achieve at the time because Bill Clinton, from the Democratic party, had won the presidential elections against the father of GW Bush and remained in power for 8 years, which fortunately delayed the PNAC plans… But these neo-conservatives did not wanted to wait any longer to implement the PNAC plans, and they planned to not allow the Democratic party to win next elections, so since 2001, the Republicans have retaken power by doing an electoral fraud in the end of 2000. 9/11 and the "official" rising of the PNAC plans:

"The process of transformation (PNAC) is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalysing event, like a new Pearl Harbor" - (Quote from several people inside the Bush Administration).

In the year 2000, a project called PNAC that was set up by the men who now surround George W. Bush said what America needed was "a new Pearl Harbor" (which was the justification for the US to enter the WW2). Its published aims have alarmingly come true, when in September 11th of 2001, several terrorist attacks happen in New York and in Washington. Since that day the world has changed dramatically, and for the worst.

Before 9/11, most of the main PNAC objectives (see above) were "concealed" from the American public and politicians because they were too drastic and extremist to be accepted at the time. Even so they were going under a preparation phase, waiting for some strong event to have a chance to be able to be forcedly "accepted" by the US senate and the American people. Almost right after 9/11, the Bush Administration took that "lucky opportunity" to implement several unconstitutional laws that were already been written long before 9/11.

The Bush Administration continuingly state that these unconstitutional laws are needed to better fight terrorism, however this is destroying democracy and transforming the United States into a fascist dictatorship. These two laws were actually planned much before 9/11 in the PNAC documents, and are a necessary evil instrument to help implement the rest of the PNAC objectives described above.

"Most recently, the terrorist attacks on September 11 mobilized much of our country in the fight against terrorism. However, this wave of "anti-terrorist" activity, all in the name of national security, also launched one of the most serious civil liberties crises our nation has ever seen. But lets continue and talk more about the PNAC. These documents written by most individuals in the Bush Administration state the following:

"What was needed for America to dominate much of humanity and the world's resources, was some catastrophic and catalysing event - like a new Pearl Harbor".

By an amazing "coincidence", less than a year later the attacks of September 11th 2001 provided the "new Pearl Harbor", described as "the opportunity of ages". The right-wing extremists who have since then exploited 11 September like no other to promote their interests, come from the era of Ronald Reagan, when far-right groups and "think-tanks" were established to avenge the American "defeat" in Vietnam. In the 1990s, there was an added agenda: to justify the denial of a "peace dividend" following the cold war. "The Project for the New American Century" (PNAC) was formed, along with the "American Enterprise Institute", the "Hudson Institute" and others that have since merged the ambitions of the Reagan administration with those of the current Bush regime. So, in the view of all these facts, September 11th was in fact, a new Pearl Harbor… The "perfect justification" to start wars against anyone and anything that may threaten American interests, sonly on the views and interests of neo-conservatives. With the 9/11 attacks, it was possible for the neo-conservatives to implement the frightful PNAC plans, which before 9/11 would be rejected by the US senate, the American people, and the world. In the same way as the murder of JFK, everything indicates that we will never fully know what has happen in that crucial day in 9/11, but in this article and by presenting other sources, we can provide you with some amazing facts.

Most people assume that the true author of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, was without doubt Bin Laden, because that's what the Bush Administration has stated since the first day. However new evidences along the last 3 years, and that are being censured by most media with political or economical relations with the Bush Administration, say otherwise… There are too many evidences to analyse and we cannot do that in this article, but we can give you an idea of how bizarre this whole issue is.

Right after the 9/11 attacks, there was a poor quality videotape that was internationally presented on television, that showed a supposed Bin Laden admitting he planed the attacks. However, no matter how "weird" this may sound, some people have examined several still images of that videotape and compared the face of that "Bin Laden" to actual photos of him, and in an amazing surprise, that way you can easily see that they don't match, that they do seem two different people. I have watched those images myself, and I can confirm the same amazing diagnostic. About the same time that videotape was showed on TV, there was an attempt from who seems to be the real Bin Laden, in a letter stating that he had nothing to do with the attacks of 9/11 and that the Bush Administration is using Al Qaeda as an "escape goat", however, with the exception of very few (independent) international media, those statements were completely and globally censured.

We don't know for sure who are the real masterminds behind 9/11, but we can say for a fact that no matter what happen, that no matter the motives for the attacks, that the Bush Administration knew what was going to happen, because they were warned many times along 2001, for example by foreign governments like Philippines, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and others. Besides this, the CIA and the FBI sent several reports and warnings to the White House confirming the suspicions of an imminent terrorist attack, and when they have asked for authorization to arrest the suspects, the Bush Administration ordered the CIA and FBI agencies to back away from the suspects and to "leave them alone". These events happened for several times during 2001. This TV documentary goes completely against what the Bush Administration officially states and shows amazing video and photo evidences of a major conspiracy about the 9/11 events. Everyone who watches this documentary will see 9/11 in a completely different perspective, and will realise that Bin Laden could have not be the true (or the only) mastermind behind the terrorist attacks, but much more powerful people.

This TV documentary on 9/11 proves the following:

1 - That it was not a plane that hit the Pentagon (there are no physical/photo evidences or eyewitness of such), but in fact what seem to be a cruise missile.

The Bush Administration wishes to continue to implement the PNAC plans in a national (to change the US constitutional laws to obtain absolute power) and international level, but for them to do so it is obvious that they require to maintain power in the US, as being members of the government. To ensure that they do win the election against John Kerry, the Democrat candidate, around 2002 the Bush Administration ordered the implementation of the electronic vote, wherever possible inside the United States, using the fiasco of Florida as a justification, fiasco that the republicans have prepared themselves. The Bush Administration hired the services of enterprises like Diebold (www.diebold.com + http://www.diebold.com/dieboldes), Sequoia and ES&S, to manufacture the Hardware and Software required to build electronic machines for the American people to vote. Probably the nastiest part of the problem is that the Republicans themselves control those enterprises. Since the software are made and controlled by the same enterprises and people that are directly associated with the Bush Administration, it is hard or really impossible to imagine that the Republicans themselves would harm their own party and GW Bush, and that they would be impartial enough to "allow" Kerry to win.

From independent investigations, it has already been proven that the software used can be hacked and to change the votes is extremely easy for the people who control the software. To trust these people and to say that they will be completely impartial for the elections results, is a joke, is to be unbelievable naïve and is the same as trusting a cute fish to a famished shark. With this info in mind and which the media connected to the Bush Administration, is censuring, it is easy to understand that the plans of the Bush Administration are to execute another electoral fraud to assure they can continue in power and proceed with the PNAC. Unfortunately, the United States does not has an impartial system/institution (like an Elections Commission) to control and verify the legitimacy of the voting system, which does not guarantees the impartiality/neutrality of the final results. Basically, who really replaces such "Elections Commission" are the enterprises who fabricate the electronic machines… and they are controlled by republicans.

Besides the problems with the electronic voting, the Bush Administration is also implementing more anti-democratic laws to stop many millions of people to vote. People from several minorities communities, who normally always vote for the Democratic party. They do this without any possible fine justification, and it is something that only happens in dictatorial regimes. However, Americans are not really aware of all these problems, and of the destruction of their democracy that is happening every day, since the corporate American media misinforms them.

We cannot continue to allow the full destruction of the US democracy, for Americans sake, and our own sake since the PNAC has an ideology of world domination…so we must act now to alert everyone…

What now? A possible dark future:

It is hard to say what will happen in the future, no one knows for sure, but if we seek to be well informed we can have a good general idea. After all, the information that is displayed in this article makes it easy to understand that the future of the world looks very grim. We are entering a new age of "Pax Romana" (The Roman Empire ideologies), which is now called as "Pax Americana". It is the objective of the neo-conservatives to build a new US superpower and to control the world, trough economy, military force and as well culturally using "Hollywood" as a tool.

As we all know, all of the previous superpowers in history, since the Roman Empire, Egypt, England, France, Spain, Portugal, China, USSR and others, have always committed severe crimes on Human Rights violations, including mass genocide, the attempt of extermination of entire cultures and countries, and so on.

Since the end of the WW2 that the USA have officially became a superpower, and as such (along with the USSR), they have committed hundreds of severe atrocities all over the world. Saying that the USA along with its politicians and military, defends Democracy and Human Rights, is an illusion, a complete manipulation of the truth, of reality.

As I have stated, currently there are two superpowers… the United States, and worldwide public opinion. If we allow the Bush Administration to fully implement their PNAC plans, the whole world can suffer immensely and we can enter in a new world war with unimaginable consequences to the Planet and all human life.

We cannot rely on the US or other politicians to defend the highest moral values, because those powerful people only defend their selfish sickening interests. We can only rely on ourselves to defend Human Rights and Nature in general. So we must have an active voice, and do our part to make a difference, to show politicians and the enterprises that they cannot do what they wish, to help stop more atrocities and thus to make a shift in the right direction.

Remember, we build our own destiny.

How much does wars cost in an economical, social and humanitarian terms:

Everyday day we hear on the news about the world problems, like pollution, unemployment, hunger, poverty, and so many others. The governments and enterprises (among others) say that they do not have the required money and resources to be able to fight such severe humanitarian problems, in their countries, or in other countries in the form of international aid. However, this is an entirely false statement, which is used to "blind" people to the problem solutions. There are many governments, especially in poorer countries, who prefer to spend dozen of billions of Euros in the military industry instead of using that money wisely to feed their own population and to use it to develop their own country.

This happens for several reasons, being the top two reasons, that some governments do this on purpose to starve their population in order to put them into submission (for more info see www.infonature.org + http://mondediplo.com/1998/11/01leader) and the second reason, because the military power is a crucial objective for the regimes, so they are able to survive as long as possible. A dictatorial regime, without their military, police and secret agencies is unable to survive. They are the basilar stones of all dictatorial regimes, either being fascists, communists or fundamentalists.

With all these enormous injustices, the vast waste of money and resources, who does suffers the most? It is estimated that everyday in the whole world, several thousands directly die due to starvation, while many hundreds of millions, close to 2 billion (2.000.000.000) people, suffer from severe lack of proper nourishment. In Africa and Asia most especially, there are a few million babies that have not yet tasted a good and decent nourishing meal since they have been born. Within time, those children develop serious health problems and will never be able to have a normal childhood. This severely undermines their whole physical and psychological future.

The UN calculates that the whole of the world population's basic needs for food, drinking water, education and medical care could be covered by a levy of less than 4 % on the accumulated wealth of the 225 largest fortunes. To satisfy all the world's sanitation and food requirements would cost only $13 billion (+/- 12 billion Euros), hardly as much as the people of the United States and the European Union spend each year on perfume.

If the most powerful people in the world had an honourable sense of moral, and were really interested in doing the best for their populations, also into helping poorer countries, and made a commitment to end poverty worldwide, all that was sufficient to do would be to divert all the money spent on the military industry and use those several trillions of Euros to end world hunger. It may be incredible to believe this, but we already have all the human, material and economical resources we need to end poverty worldwide.

What a pathetic planet we live in, when we give more importance to money and power instead of the respect for life in general. People do not have a god clue of how much money is spent on arms, but we can give you a clue now.

The cost of weapons and what that money could do:

The uproar of the poor becomes more acute when one thinks about the enormous cost that the "arms race" presents:

• - It has been estimated, that in 2000 the world spent 756 billion dollars on arms.
  
• - This figure would have been enough to feed for a year, 4 billion poor children (almost the entire population of the earth).
  
• - The price of a war tank is enough to build schools for 30 thousand students.
  
• - The cost of a jetfighter represents that of 40000 pharmacies.
  
• - 90 countries are still suffering from the plague of the antipersonnel landmines; 20.000 people a year become victims ofthese landmine explosions.
  
• - Half of the victims of the last fifty years of conflicts have been children.
  
• - It is estimated that in the whole world there are more than 300.000 child soldiers.
  
• - In industrialized countries military expenses are 30 times greater than aid to developing countries.
  
• - The average price of a landmine: Production USD 8,00 - deactivation USD 5,000
  
• - Modern war's victims are: 34% children - 59% civilians - 7% Soldiers.

Our responsibilities upon the world, and what we can do:

It may not seem so at a first glance, but we together as a people, can make a great difference in the destiny of the world.

After the Cold War has finish, it was currently being stated that there are still two superpowers: the USA and the global public opinion. We, as consumers and as a people in the whole, have a very strong influence toward our politicians and enterprises/multinationals. For us to make a difference toward the right ways, we need to better inform ourselves to know the truths of the events worldwide, so then we can manifest our opinion and/or repugnancy against the universal violations of Human Rights and Environmental crimes, no matter in what levels and forms it comes, and to who ever makes them: either terrorists, governments, politicians, enterprises, individuals or institutions.

Together, we can make a serious and crucial difference, for our own survival, for the survival of the planet and of the Human Race.
